Winter 2014-15 Brazil cruises announced

Royal Caribbean has announced that Splendour of the Seas will continue seasonal South America cruises for the eighth year.

Splendour will operate three- to eight-night cruises from Sao Paulo, Brazil during the winter 2014-2015 season.


The 3-8-night cruises will call at ports such as Buzios, Ilha Grande, and Ilhabela.


The ship will also make seven-night Argentina and Uruguay cruises, calling at Punta Del Este, Montevideo and Buenos Aires.


pecial eight-night sailing, departing on 27th December 2014, will take guests to Porto Belo, Buzios, Ilha Grande and Ilhabela. Guest will also have the opportunity to see in the New Year at Rio de Janiero and have the experience to catch the world-famous fireworks show at Copacabana Beach.

Cruisers can also choose from two transatlantic sailings between Brazil and Spain that start and finish Splendour of the Seas’ winter 2014 season. A 15-night westbound itinerary from Barcelona to Sao Paulo will depart on 22nd November 2014 and call at Seville, Lisbon, Madeira, Tenerife and Rio De Janeiro. Splendour of the Seas returns from Sao Paulo to Barcelona on 20 April 2015 and will call at Rio De Janeiro, Salvador De Bahia, Tenerife and Malaga.

Royal Caribbean extends TV channel contract with Oceans TV

Royal Caribbean is to extend its satellite TV channel contract with Oceans TV on two of their ships.



 


The first agreement will extend the service for Serenade of the Seas while it cruises in Europe and the Middle East in Winter and Spring 2013. The agreement will provide channels such as BBC World News, BBC Entertainment and CNBC Europe for English speaking passengers. Passengers from Italy can watch Rai News, Rai 1 and Mediaset Italia; TF1 and AB1 are available for French passengers while TVE Internacional and RTL Schweiz can be viewed by Spanish and German speakers.


 

The second agreement is to extend its satellite TV channels for Splendour of the Seas in South America. 


 

As well as satellite TV channels, Oceans TV supplies cruise lines with live events, international movies, promotional videos, safety films and portable entertainment systems such as the iPad and Sony PSP.
